İzmir International Fair hosted a spectacular international performance this year. French performance ensemble Les Légendaires presented a visual feast across the fairgrounds with its giant illuminated puppets, dancers and acrobats. The show’s approximately 4.5-metre-tall character, “White Fox”, attracted great interest from visitors.

Held for the 95th time this year, İzmir International Fair (IEF) offered visitors a wide variety of experiences not only through its exhibitions and events but also through performances by artistic groups from around the world. As part of the programme, French performance ensemble Les Légendaires (“The Legendary Ones”) delighted audiences in İzmir with a show combining light, dance, acrobatics and giant puppets.

At the heart of the performance, which took the audience on an extraordinary journey between fantasy and reality, was White Fox, a mythical hero. Inspired by ancient legends, the character’s mysterious story was brought to life through the dancers’ choreography and giant illuminated puppets.

A fairytale world in the streets of the fair
Standing approximately 4.5 metres tall, White Fox drew considerable attention as it made its way through the fairgrounds. Visitors reached for their mobile phones to take photographs and videos of the giant puppet, while the dancers’ interaction with the audience made the performance even more colourful and engaging.

The ensemble, which travelled to Türkiye for İzmir International Fair, continued its performances for three days. The 16-member performance team included a lead dancer, various fox characters and other dancers. The show brought a fresh dimension to the fair’s vibrant and international atmosphere.
