Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ, the 5th LOGISTECH International Logistics, Storage and Technologies Fair took place at Fuar İzmir from October 7 to October 9. The fair welcomed a total of 18,460 visitors, including 17,388 domestic visitors from 43 cities across Türkiye and 1,072 international visitors from 35 countries. The event provided a platform for establishing new business connections and strengthening existing partnerships. Panels and discussions covered ministry support programs, international transport corridors, logistics costs and competitiveness, sustainable transportation, decarbonization, and next-generation biofuel solutions. Sector representatives, academics, and experts discussed current developments in logistics and explored opportunities for the future.
“Türkiye Is Our Second Home”
Lamiya Xalilova, a board member of the Azerbaijan Customs Representatives and Logistics Companies Association (AGTL) and president of WILAT Azerbaijan, said her delegation attended LOGISTECH with 16 companies and 33 representatives. She noted that the panel on the Zangezur Corridor attracted considerable interest. Xalilova said the delegation established new business connections and signed agreements during the fair. She added that the warm hospitality they received in İzmir made them feel at home, describing Türkiye as their second home.
International Business Partnerships Strengthened
Lili Yu, general manager of Ningbo Guohua Group, participated in the fair through WIFFA, a Chinese platform that aims to strengthen cooperation among international logistics companies. She expressed her satisfaction with the warm welcome they received in İzmir. Yu said “It was a wonderful fair. I experienced the warmth of the Turkish people and the dynamism of the logistics sector. Throughout the event, we held meetings with various companies. We shared our plans for barter trade between China and Türkiye with the Aegean Exporters’ Associations and invited the delegation to visit our booth at China International Import Expo, which will be held in China in November. We also had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with international companies. The warm welcome we received in Türkiye strengthened our confidence that our business partnerships will continue to grow in the future”.
“We’ll Be Back Next Year”
Onurhan Kadıoğlu, director of port business development at Alport Group, said the group participated in LOGISTECH for the first time following the launch of its operations at İzmir Alsancak Port. Kadıoğlu said: “LOGISTECH provided a valuable opportunity to share our goals with sector representatives. We plan to participate again next year to showcase the work we are carrying out at the port”.
